NASA got evidence of life in MARS(the red planet)

Position: Fourth from Sun
Distance from Sun: 227,940,000 km
Mars Day: 24.6 Earth Hours
Mars Year: 686.98 Earth Days
Orbital Speed: 24.2 km/sec
Eccentricity of Orbit: 0.093
Satellites: Two
Diameter: 6,794 km
Mass: 6.4219e23 kg
Major Atmospheric Gas: Carbon Dioxide

These images were among many sent back to Earth by Spirit, Nasa's Mars explorer vehicle which landed there four years ago.Initial inspections revealed nothing unusual, but closer examination by amateur astronomers has thrown up this intriguing picture.(CREDIT TO BETH HALE)
MARS4

FEW INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT MARS
Named by the Romans for their god of war because of its red--bloodlike--color.Other civilizations also named this planet from this attribute; for example, the Egyptians named it "Her Desher," meaning "the red one."
mars2
Phobos = Inner satellite of Mars; named in 1877 by the discoverer, Asaph Hall, for one of the horses that drew Mars' chariot; also called an "attendant" or "son" of
Mars, according to chapter 15, line 119 of Homer's "Iliad." This Greek word means "fear."
Deimos = Outer Martian satellite, also named by Asaph Hall for one of Mars' horses/sons/companions; the word means "fear" or "terror" in Greek.
mars3
* Mars is the seventh largest planet in the Solar System.
* Known as the Red Planet, Mars is characterized by its red, dusty landscape.
* In observation of Mars seasonal changes and river channels on the surface, many scientists hoped for a possibility of Martian life. They speculated that the composition of Mars' was similar enough to Earth to support life. However, the atmosphere on Mars is very different than Earth's, with only small amounts of life supporting oxygen and water.
* The atmosphere on Mars is very thin, composed mainly of carbon dioxide(95%), nitrogen(2.7%), and argon(1.6%), with traces of oxygen and water.
* Mars has polar ice caps, composed of solid carbon dioxide, that advance and retreat with the changing seasons.
* Temperatures on Mars vary from a maximum of 0 degrees C (32 degrees F) to minimum -100 degrees C (-148 degrees F).
* The terrain on Mars is complex and varied, with deep canyons, mountains, volcanoes, and craters. Olympus Mons, the largest mountain in the Solar System, stands on Mars with an altitude of 24 km (78,000 feet) with a base that is 600 km across. Valles Marineris is a system of canyons that stretch out over the surface of Mars for nearly 2,500 miles (4000 km). The canyons can get up to 200 km wide and 6 km deep in some areas.
* Erosion and river channels on the surface of Mars revealed that there was once large amounts of water on the planet. There were river systems and possibly lakes and oceans on the planet over 4 billion years ago. This evidence has lead scientists to believe that Mars at one time may have supported life billions of years ago.
* Mars was first visited by the Mariner 4, in 1965, which transmited 22 pictures of the Martian surface back to Earth. The pictures revealed that there was no water or life on the cold surface, shattering hopes to find life on Mars. There has been no proof to date that there was ever life on Mars.
* Mars has two small satellites named Phobos and Deimos.
* Mars is the god of war in Roman mythology.FOR MORE INFORMATION ON MARS

They are a bunch of fools....hey guys iam talking about the indian cricket selectors..sometimes i cant understand their thinking and actions....do they have brain!!!?.I dont know. They really made some crap decisions in the past....those who support them can say that those were taken by some other guys not the present ones under colonel. let me ask...why this happens everytime...why BCCI appoints fools everytime?

I feel really sad for Prince of calcutta....he made miraculous come back in the last year...He had fairly good success in the both versions of the game.No body, including me ,never thought that he will come back and perform like he did in the past one year. That come back was unbelievable...never happened in the game of cricket ever before. Most of the news channels included him in the race for the title of sports person of the year 2007.Do they really see these...?

I would have admitted their decision ,if he is not performing well. But ......
I feel that he is treated badly, without any respect for his contributions.Dada its the time to quit ....its the time to go out gracefully....we all know that u are in good form....you are a fighter ..you will be able to come back even now ...but for what ...you have proved it twice or more ...you can exit gracefully.....like a maharaja

Bobby fisher died ...world lost another genius......

excerpt from wikipaedia

Robert James "Bobby" Fischer (March 9, 1943 – January 17, 2008) was an American-born chess Grandmaster, an Icelandic citizen at the time of his death, who became famous as a teenager for his chess-playing ability. In 1972, he became the first, and thus far only, American to win the official World Chess Championship, defeating defending champion Boris Spassky in a match held in Reykjavík, Iceland. The match was widely publicized as a Cold War battle because it pitted a single American against the Soviet system. He is often referred to as a candidate for the greatest chess player of all time.
Photobucket
In 1975, Fischer refused to defend his title when FIDE, the international chess federation, would not accept all his conditions. He was stripped of his title as a result, after which he became more reclusive.
In 1977, Bobby Fischer played three games in Cambridge against the MIT Greenblatt computer program. Fischer won all the games, even though he started with the black pieces in the first game.Fischer disappeared and did not play competitive chess for nearly twenty years. That is until 1992, when he had a rematch with Spassky. The competition was held in Yugoslavia, which was then under a strict United Nations embargo. This led to a conflict with the U.S. government and he never returned to his native country. The result was no different,he won again.
In the early 1980s, Fischer stayed for extended periods in the San Francisco-area home of his friend, the Canadian Grandmaster Peter Biyiasas. During a stretch of four months, the two played 17 five-minute games, and Fischer, despite his layoff from competitive play, won all of them, according to Biyiasas. To his death, he claimed he was still the World Champion because he never lost a title match.
In his later years, Fischer lived in Hungary and later Japan. While away from America, he became increasingly paranoid and made anti-American and antisemitic statements. In 2004–2005, after his U.S. passport was revoked, he was detained by Japanese authorities for nine months under threat of extradition. He was then granted Icelandic citizenship and released to Iceland by the Japanese authorities. He lived in Iceland from 2005 until his death in 2008.
